Situated off the Old Town square, down towards the viewing point over the river, the Old Town Heritage Interpretation Centre is often overlooked, and indeed sometimes confused with, the main Warsaw Museum found in the market square. Indeed, the Interpretation Centre is a branch of the Warsaw Museum, however, it focuses on the architectural history of the Old Town - its destruction during World War II, postwar rebuilding efforts, and the circumstances of its entry onto the UNESCO World Heritage List. The museum underwent renovation and now includes some great interactive multimedia pieces as you walk through the old basements of the building. Not to be overlooked for the main Warsaw Museum as both compliment each other very well!
