Also known as Soccer City, this iconic 94,000-seater venue with its distinctive orange, red and gold exterior (designed to resemble an African calabash), was rebuilt for the 2010 World Cup. Home of Soweto's Kaiser Chiefs, this is also the venue for large concerts and political rallies.
60 minute tours of the stadium taking in various players areas can be booked. During a 60 minute guided visit you can see those behind-the-scenes areas that usually only the pros occupy, such as the changing rooms, the warm-up area and the players tunnel. You can even play pretend sports manager as you stroll alongside the pitch itself. The tour also includes visits to the VIP areas and stadium restaurant.
