Kubicki was our first taste of Poland after arriving in Gdansk on Monday afternoon. We were able to get a table by the river on a beautiful, warm and sunny evening, with a view across to the Baltic Philharmonic. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, and drink and food arrived without long periods of waiting. To start we shared a plate of assorted Gdansk dumplings stuffed with meat and cabbage, these were delicious and full of flavour. We both had fish for our main course, possibly the best fish I have had at a restaurant, cooked beautifully in saffron and on a brothy bed of vegetables. In all the five days we were in Gdansk this was by far the best food and value for money. Well worth a visit.
