Electric Mountain

Electric mountain baby! North Wales is full of incredible engineering and few impress quite like Electric Mountain. Dinorwig Power Station is a great showcase of human ingenuity, taking water, gravity and creativity and bringing them together to produce electricity in the largest manmade cavern in Europe. The main visitor centre was undergoing extensive renovations at the time of writing, but tours were still running from a makeshift start point. Be sure to book a visit ahead of time.
