Venice's second airport is located some 45km north of the city, near the town of Treviso. The airport, which is on the small side, is serviced predominantly by budget carriers Ryanair and Wizzair with a limited domestic network and several connections across Europe. Eating options at the airport are quite limited, with sandwiches being the main offering, although good coffee and fine wines are available at a number of cafes/bars (it is still Italy afterall). While most travellers know the town of Treviso solely as the home of Venice's lesser airport, it's actually a fine destination in it's own right
