Louvre Abu Dhabi

In 2007 the UAE and France came together to create a cultural institution that was the first of its kind. With the aid of France’s expertise in museums, art and design, it represents the UAE’s cultural progression and focuses on stories of human creativity, the contemporary Arab world and the region’s vibrant multi-cultural heritage. The museum was inaugurated some ten years later, and through a series of exhibitions and installations visitors can enjoy numerous works of art and artifacts from around the world, with a main focus on bridging the gap between Eastern and Western art.
