The first thing that struck us was the size and design. It is a large-high ceiling with dark wooden tables and chairs, and a Hi-tech design. Then the music hit us. It was something we never heard before; Polish/Ukrainian music from the 1920’s. The kitchen is Galician/Polish with some very unusual items. We tried the banosh - a maize porridge for 50Hr. There are savoury pies and home-made sausages of beef, pork, turkey, and chicken that you can have with home-made bread. A complete meal will cost between 150-250Hr. It is easy to find - right near the Opera and the staff all speak pretty good English. There is seating for 200+ and a smoking terrace when the weather permits. Some of their delicious home-made items are available in the souvenir shop downstairs which you must visit anyway as it is the entrance to the restaurant.
