With its fresh and lively atmosphere, Oliva has become a local favourite. To get a better idea of what to expect, imagine your favourite hometown coffee shop or café and twist in a Ukrainian flare. The competitive prices really catch the eye on a menu that features a splattering of Italian favourites such as cannelloni, ravioli, risotto and pizza. Reasonable prices for cocktails will have you rubbing your eyes with disbelief. Make it a double. Expect a packed house on the weekend and it’s a bit smoky so you might want to leave the kids at home with babushka. I like Oliva restaurant because it reminds me of the typical neighborhood restaurants in the USA good selections fresh salad and vegetables which hard to get in Ukraine and priced right. I do visit it often.

My favourite is actually at Druzhby Narodov 25B. This location is not special but it gets a nice mix of people and is not as crowded as in Podol. The grilled vegetable appetizer is great!!
