Have you ever had a chilli in your cocktail? Neither had we until we dropped by Montblack, that is. 'Freestyle cocktailing' is what they claim to do here - and we couldn't describe it any better ourselves. We boldly chose the Fiery Strauss on our first visit and when co-owner Brian started mixing the chilli, cucumber, strawberries, gin and elderflower syrup, we were sceptical, but the result made us true believers. A little sweet, a little hot, a little bitter - a little great, really! While the interior is rather earthy, the crowd is urban and relaxed. We'll definitely be going again, and so should you.
