Fork & Bottle

Fork & Bottle is a country-style inn at the Allmend (common land) recreation area at the foot of Zurich's little mountain, the Uetliberg. If you like burgers, steaks, ribs, craft beer and the like in a down-to-earth, unhurried setting, it's well worth a visit and easy to reach from the city centre with S-train 4 (direction Langnau-Gattikon, six minutes) to the Zürich Brunau stop. Our pulled pork and classic beef burger were served on a wooden board and were well-balanced and tasty. The craft beer menu features nearly 100 uncommon brews from local favourites to rare imports that have travelled all the way from New Zealand. As real hop heads we went for the Californication Swiss IPA and didn't regret our choice. It has a lovely beer garden too. Note its rather early closing times.
