A restaurant on a campsite? Not exactly a guarantee for great food. Luckily though, at Fischer’s Fritz on Zurich’s only campsite it’s different. Local fish is the mainstay of the menu: whitefish, perk, pike and more, depending on what fisherman Adrian Gerny has caught. The fish come deep fried as knusperli in a crispy coat - we really liked it. There are non-fish options too, e.g. all-you-can-eat chicken wings (26.50Sfr). The pretty view of the city and the Alps here on the lakeshore makes it worth to visit for an afternoon drink too. Prices are also above campsite standard, but match the quality and service. Take bus N°161 from Bürkliplatz in direction of Kilchberg, stop Stadtgrenze. Or call them, they might pick you up with their boat.
