Sitting at the outdoor tables at the L’O in Horgen you can hear the murmur of the waves hitting the shore of Lake Zurich. If you happen to have your own boat, you can even land at the restaurant’s very own pier. If unfortunately you don’t, take the S-train (S2, 4 stops from Zurich main station) or the public ship. Train and ship stops are just next to the restaurant. Its lakeshore location makes it worth the extra travel. But it’s not just the location that is lovely, the food is good too. There is a lounge and a garden restaurant for coffee (the latte had the airiest foam we’ve had in a long time), drinks, summer salads and barbecue and a more exclusive indoor and outdoor area, where fish and meat specialities are served (e.g. Irish Aberdeen Angus Beef ).
