Walk through the museum shop of the Cabaret Voltaire (where Dada is claimed to have been born) and climb the stairs - and you will be in a small bar with comfy chairs and tiny wooden tables. The unpainted walls give it the desired artistic alternative touch - the fairly cheap beer draws students and travellers here. But the venue is well worth a visit even if you are neither. If there is no event in the big hall, you can sit there as well. They have 15 different kinds of absinth on the menu.
