This is a popular work and meeting spot and for those load shedding afternoons there are thankfully plenty of plugpoints. The coffee, a blend of Ethiopian Sidamo and Rwandan Kivu beans, comes in extra large – the famous Mothercuppa, and there's a good fresh selection of salads, wraps and paninis.

You can find branches of this popular homegrown chain at several Joburg locations including Benmore Gardens, BluBird Centre and at the corner of 7th and 3rd Avenues in Parktown North. For early risers the Parktown North branch is an ideal place to start the day with the coffee shop opening at 6am (7am on weekends).
