Conwy is an art gallery sort of town, a charmer full of magnificent architecture and seaside elegance, so it stands to reason that the Royal Cambrian Academy sits in the centre of it all. An artistic centre of excellence, the academy was established in 1881 and members of the public are afforded the opportunity to check out works of students past and present. North Wales was actually home to the first artist’s colony in Great Britain, and that proud tradition continues today.
