Get ready for the second edition of the Slow Fashion Festival at 44 Stanley, back by popular demand on Sat, Sep 14. This season's festival is once again in collaboration with Twyg, an independent media NPO that focuses on sustainability in South Africa, and is powered by Yoco – all focused on sustainability with a generous dose of fun.

Expect a jam-packed day of hands-on activities, where you’ll learn how to breathe new life into your pre-loved clothes. It’s the ultimate event for eco-conscious fashion lovers, looking to swap, mend, and get creative.

Here’s what you can look forward to:
Swap & Mend with Twyg – Bring along those once-loved items, and trade them for a fresh wardrobe, all while mastering the art of mending from the experts.

Thought-provoking talks & film screening – Catch Patagonia’s The Shitthropocene at The Bioscope, and dive into deep discussions on sustainability.

Workshops & mending sessions –  Whether you’re a sewing whizz or a total novice, there will be workshops throughout the day to help you hone your upcycling, mending, and sewing skills.

Exciting in-store activations – Explore the vibrant atmosphere of 44 Stanley, with surprise activations in the stores!

Fancy swapping clothes? Tickets for Swap and Mend are just R50 (available online, or on the day). Here’s a bonus: The first 48 swappers will receive a complimentary mending kit, assembled on-site.

Come for the fashion, stay for the fun, and leave with a wardrobe that’s as kind to the planet as it is to your style.
