We honestly don't remember if it was the taste or the price or just the label featuring a goat standing on his hind legs carrying a frothy stein, but during the year we lived in Prague Kozel was always our favourite local beer. So we were happy to find out that in partnership with its local distributor, Kozel has opened its own brewery pub in Maribor! Located on the corner of Poštna ulica, in the shadow of the cathedral, Kozlovna Pošta joins several dozen similar ventures that have sprung up in recent years in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey and elsewhere. The menu features some Czech favourites, which are heavy on meat (especially pork and deer) and of course perfectly compliment the draught beer.
