Zaika

Follow your nose to the far end of Ljubljana's colourful Trubarjeva Street and you'll discover the source of those mouthwatering aromas is none other than Zaika - an aptly named restaurant, because everything served here is indeed delicious. The star of the show is chef Zia, who cut his proverbial chops in various well-known kitchens around the city, before opening up his own pint-sized passion project that concocts some incredible flavours from the subcontinent and dishes you won't find anywhere else in town. There's only seating for a few people inside, but luckily you're spoiled with choices when it comes to public dining spaces in Ljubljana (at least when the weather's nice).
