A wide variety of excellent, authentic Indian cuisine, with some genuinely friendly service included at no extra charge. Choosing between the various dishes can be a challenge on your first visit, especially if you opt for starters and side dishes, but for those not familiar with Indian cuisine, the menu is full of extremely helpful (and realistic) photos of the individual dishes. Discounted lunch specials are available on weekdays, and include an all-you-eat buffet for €8.90 per person. Free parking is available for guests, and can even accommodate buses with prior notice.

Kudos from me! Enjoyed the food very much. I was there while visiting Slovenia, my friend took me there, she said it was good, but it exceeded my expectations. Especially for a small town like Ljubljana it's good value for money and good quality. Will return to Slovenia (not just for that ;) ) and gladly visit this place again!

I think this is by far the best indian restaurant within 300 km and certainly in Slovenia! The food and choice is great, the staff is superfriendly, the prices are normal. The tastes are very authentic and you can choose the level of 'hot' - I like that, so I can try different tastes without being burned down on the spot ;-)I also went there with indian friends, and they loved it (they chose the 'indian hot', of course), which to me is a good sign, since indians in my experience don't choose to eat in restaurants unless they find it authentic...they're not so easily pleased. So thumbs up for Maharaja, very good food!

Maharaja is offering lunch thali on working days from 11:00 to 16:00 for unbeatable €7,90.Including soup,naan,rice,stater,vegetarian and non-vegeterian dishs and the best is they will accept student bons from 1st of January 2013.I think this is the best place in the city for Indian food at this price!!!Kuki
