From the same team behind Magda, one of our favourite bars in town, Božidar is part bar, part club, part live music venue, and generally attracts Ljubljana's cool crowd. The venue itself is as unique as the clientele, as it's situated in a ground floor space of the Baraga Seminary building - a work of famed architect Jože Plečnik from the 1930s. Pretty much the only complaint we've heard is that it's “outside the centre”, but distances are very relative in Slovenia, and in reality it's only a few hundred metres from the north exit of the main railway station. The place is only open a few days a week, but there's always an eclectic programme of live music, DJ set and other events, like a regular ping pong tournament.
