10 Tips for being with a Slavic Girl

Time

Once you've succeeded in following these 10 tips for being with a Slavic girl, see if you can upgrade your game to dating Slavic women!

Slavic women are beautiful on the outside, and often on the inside too. No wonder then that it’s a cliché and stereotype for almost every British lad or North American guy living in a Slavic country to have arrived on the premise, and with the promise, of love.

So, what can we say about this phenomenon?

Without advocating ‘sex tourism’ in any way, we’re going to give you 10 great tips on how to handle a new relationship in a beautiful Slavic country. What’s more, this friendly advice goes for international relationships world-wide.

Where to find these Slavic girls?

Slavic wonderlands include Slovenia , Croatia , Bosnia , Serbia , Russia , Belarus , Poland , the Czech Republic , Slovakia , and Ukraine . The ‘Slavs’ as an ethnic group originally settled in the eastern European Caucasus in the 6th Century. Since then Slavic peoples have spread further east into the Russian sub-continent and south into the Balkans, now accounting for over half of Europe. And they have remained beautiful.

Aside from numerous online ‘Slavic brides’ agencies, many western guys do not go with the pre-meditated intention of finding a girl. Nevertheless, you may well inadvertently find yourself in the arms of a Slavic beauty on a backpacking adventure (as in my case), beach holiday, business trip or even a music festival.

If you really like this girl, and it’s more than just a one night (or week) -stand, you might sooner or later decide to go and live in her home country (if your girl isn't after a green card that is). Unfortunately, these types of relationships don’t have a good long-term success rate, but with our advice, that’s about to change!

10 Tips for being with a Slavic Girl

Are you ready? Here we go..

1. First of all, the golden rule: DO NOT LIVE TOGETHER IMMEDIATELY!!!

This cannot be stressed enough! The first priority is your own independence in your new country. Get to know each other slowly at first, trust me, I know.

2. Learn the local language, get your girlfriend to give you lessons

A must if you want to be a real part of the society, although most young people now speak English.

3. Socialise with locals

A good opportunity to practice your new language, or English for them.

4. DON’T always socialise with other ex-pats (or Erasmus exchange students)

It’s really annoying when people don’t make any effort to integrate.

5. Embrace the culture

Watch local movies, listen to local music, do things with the locals, after all: “when in Rome…”

6. Embrace the food

Of course!

7. Explore the country

For your own fun, and people are always amazed when a foreigner knows a lot about their homeland

8. Do a job other than teaching English

A bit of a cliché; definitely the most accessible career choice for native English speakers, but forays into other areas are great for getting immersed in the culture.

Borut Pahor
Look up to none other than the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, for motivation on your professional life.

9. Get advice from friends in the same boat

Empathy is a wonderful thing.

10. Love the country as much as the girl

This means, if you break-up, stay in the country. Although you probably came first for the girl, there should be lots of other reasons for the place becoming your home.

This must be the most useless article I've read ever. Has nothing to do with Slavic women and the "tips" are probably c/p of some generic popular magazine. I'm not even going to mention the context errors... [Editor's Note: The "tips" were actually written from the personal experience of one of our writers, and are 100% original and genuine.]

I love it how the first stupid thing you say is inmediatly supported by "trust me, i know." The rest of them are ok.

Good article! But dont know how far helpful. If To start following all those tips it will become more puzzled. The only thing which works with scammers is not sending them money! For any reason. Btw I joinedglobogirls.com and seems like they fights these scammers badly, for half a year of staying there I didn't meet anyone.

The ''equal'' sign does not display, sorry, I just used the sign. Well I wanted to write that: It is really worth mentioning that the proto Indoeuropean language was the same as the proto Slavic language which was the same as the proto Polish language. Respect to all Slavic people, great Slavic people, and respect to others, non Slavs, just to everyone who loves the truth and through the truth respects other natios.Cheers!

Lad, what are you writing about???????!!!!!!!!!!Goodness me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please, do not offend Slavic people by writing that they ''originally settled in the eastern European Caucasus in the 6th Century''. They, the Slavs, originate from the territories of the Danube and the Vistula Rivers and their culture in Europe dates about 15000 years ago. Slavic people are of R1A1 haplogroup (this haplogroup is in the highest frequency in Poland), and of course, it is in other Slavic countries (and not only Slavic). The Slavs have had great culture. It is really worth mentioning that the proto Indoeuropean language the proto Slavic language the proto Polish language. Cheers!

These are more like general tips to being with a foreign girl. The article lacks of a concrete contextual characterisation of Slavic women according to their cultural background.
