Set in a beautiful 16th-century townhouse right in the centre of the old town, Kranj’s tourist information centre is the most logical first stop for most visitors to the city. In addition to countless brochures in a variety of languages covering everything in Kranj and elsewhere in the Gorenjska region (several of which can even be downloaded directly from their website), there’s free internet, a fine selection of gifts and souvenirs, a small gallery with contemporary art. Arrangements can also be made here for a tour with an experienced local guide.
