An old favourite, Bled to Bohinj, starts at the main road in Bled. Proceed with caution (Bled's main thoroughfare can get pretty busy). The road is mostly flat until you are greeted with a 2km long slope (10% gradient) at the hamlet of Bitnje. You will ride through several small sleepy villages (Jereka, Bohinjska Češnica, Srednja Vas, Stara Fužina) - then you'll arrive at the panoramic delight that is lake Bohinj. Ride a bit further to take in the idyllic Savica waterfall - then head back through the town of Bohinjska Bistrica.
