Whilst the ćevapčići may not be a traditional Slovenian recipe, you’ll be hard pressed to find a local who doesn’t love them. The Orient is a hugely popular restaurant and some say they serve the best ćevapčićis around. The only way to find that out is to try them for yourself. Alternatively, opt for one of their other home-cooked dishes such as goulash, meat plates, casseroles, salads and fish. Open early for coffee, family friendly and walk-ins are welcome. Located on the edge of town beside the river where you’ll find the friendly staff waiting for you, Orient is one of Kamnik’s treasures.
