Public transport in Košice is organised by the DPMK (not to be confused with the DPRK, which is something very, very different) and is about as efficient as you’re going to get. Trams and buses whizz around town lugging commuters and travellers to all parts. A whole host of tickets are available, from 30 minutes to seven days, and they can be purchased from newsagents, ticket machines, or even from the driver. Košice is immensely pedestrian-friendly though, so why you’ll need a tram or a bus we don’t know. Still, never say never!
