Slovan Bratislava are far and away the most successful football team in Slovakia, an accolade they’d hold even if the heroic Cup Winners Cup triumph of 1969 had not happened. That magical night against Barcelona is a long time ago now, but the ‘Kings of Bratislava’ continue to dominate the domestic scene, although they haven’t had it all their own way in recent times.
