National Bank Museum

As Serbia hurtled from one disaster to another in 1993, the citizens of Belgrade and beyond suddenly found themselves in possession of billions of dinars. This isn’t as great as it sounds of course, as hyperinflation had spiralled out of control and the notes were meaningless. Serbia’s National Bank Museum is a fascinating homage to the economical history of the country, and you can even get your face printed on the famous 50 billion dinar note. We recommend donning sunglasses and pulling your best Cold War dictator pose when you do so.
