Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Kelvingrove Park, this is Scotland's top tourist attraction. Opened in 1901, the museum’s aim is to encompass the world of art, history, archaeology and natural history through themed galleries and separate story displays. The museum boasts an incredible variety of objects, from Dali’s iconic Christ of St John of the Cross to Sir Roger the Elephant (a travelling menagerie colossus who, after death in 1900, was stuffed and displayed here), 300 million year old fossils, Charles Rennie MacIntosh furniture and Dutch, Italian, French and Scottish art. Many of the objects are interactive, and kids are not left out. In the magnificently restored centre hall, you can listen to  daily lunchtime organ recitals at 13:00.
Guided tours available daily at 11:00 and 14:30
