Located directly on the promenade the facilities include a 25 metre indoor pool, gym and fitness studio as well as Turkish baths with a steam room, hot rooms, plunge pool, hot baths and relaxation areas, just one of three baths left in Scotland.
The Portobello Swim Centre was created at the end of the 19th century as a combined public baths and leisure facility for tourists visiting the sea. Built in the Scottish Renaissance-Queen Anne style it was refurbished in 2019 retaining many original features.
