A small museum taking up two floors of a palace facing onto the square, which traces Russian art from the 18th through to the 20th Centuries. Highlights include works by Repin and Aivasovsky, Serov and Levitan. There are also many paintings of 18th Century noble men, large portraits of Catherine the Great and a huge marble sculpture of 19th Century banker and philanthropist Alexander von Stieglitz.
