This crumbling complex of buildings is reputedly the only monastic complex remaining in the city of Novgorod. These days it’s not a functioning religious place and it looks to be in a pretty poor state. The only reason to visit is to see the small museum of contemporary Novgorod art and photography. There are also artist’s studios which are often open on Saturdays for master classes.
