The gallery is a well-lit, bright and cheerful respite from the greyness of its outside surroundings. More akin to a wealthy grandmother’s house than a traditional gallery, DiDi contains an assorted spectrum of modern art, displayed in interconnecting rooms, corridors and staircases. The gallery makes a worthwhile visit whether the intention is buying art, or merely investigating what the Russian contemporary art scene has to offer. Whilst some of the work is distinctly "buyable" and would happily hang on a family home’s living room wall, other pieces are more inventive and wild. Displayed on cabinets and amongst antique furniture, there are also some interesting sculptures and some small installations.
