The cheerful and charming décor, with checked tablecloths, sunny yellow walls and Uffizi catalogues on the bookshelves, already puts this café above the standard casual Italian bistro. On offer is a diverse range of authentic pasta dishes, pizzas, starters and paninis. The mozzarella stretches about a kilometer and the imported olive oil is positively succulent. If you can restrain yourself, the gorgeously presented desserts are worth the effort and the wine list is a spot-on selection of almost exclusively dry Italian vintages that won’t break the bank.
