Gorod Sad is a mini-chain of cafes and health food stores. The locations at Patriarch’s Ponds and Danilovsky Market are certainly more health food store than café, i.e. they don’t have very much in the way of seating for people to enjoy something from the deli section. The location on Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street, however, has a spacious seating area with tables, armchairs and couches. If it’s a healthy breakfast, lunch and/or dinner or after, you’ll find it here. The majority of the food in the deli section is vegan/vegetarian but there are a few things like steamed fish, boiled white meat and chicken cutlets for those who simply enjoy healthy eating. The store stocks all the vegan things you can imagine – and even those which you can’t. Think all kinds of Kombucha, vegan cheese, health drinks, organic beer and wine, smoothies, sweets and so on. And the prices are actually quite reasonable, contrary to what many people think when health food comes to mind.
