With enough tartan to fit out a Highland Games and a clientele engaged primarily in eating, centrally-located basement bar LiBEERty feels more like a Scottish restaurant than the Irish pub which it claims to be but don't let that stop you. Polished hardwood tables overlooked by various Celtic curiosities and comfortable couch seating leading down to a mock open fire still manage to capture the spirit admirably and, while the Guinness isn't quite up to scratch, the food and drink offering is otherwise strong.
