You're very limited for choice in Bucharest if you fancy a round of golf (see Diplomatic Club), but just a couple of hours' drive north you have a better option. Located in the Carpathian foothills, Lac de Verde (Green Lake) has a small hotel, restaurant, sports centre and a nine-hole golf course.
