Romania's only modern ice rink (it opened in 2010) is just behind Brasov station and is usually open to the public every evening, and all day at weekends. It also serves as the home of Brasov's ice hockey team, second only to the legendary Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc as Romania's best. In Winter there is another, open-air ice rink in front of the Olimpia Complex at the Weaver's Bastion.
