Corby, England Blimey, trinkets galore at this lovely, cosy little cubbyhole! Me mind was a swirling with the spectacular assortment of doo-dads to be had. And I even got to meet the proprieter-artiste, a portly Telly Savalas lookalike with a pipe in his formidable right hand and even a flowing cape! (I mean, who wears capes anymore these days!?). Highly recommended!

Gloucester This shop is open again (see previous comments). Nice selection of tourist tit-tat of generally good quality. Mind you, the silk scarves, while nice, seem a bit pricey. Nevertheless, a visit is highly recommended.

Gateshead, UK Very disappointed that the store is closed for refurbishment! I spent a good 10 minutes walking there and it was shut! Perhaps RIYP should let its loyal readers know this before they tramp over there!
It will be open again in April - but too late for me! I'll be back home with the Mackems.

I followed advice in the magazine and visited this shop. Very nice, many beautiful scarves and postcards, interesting lamps, even small furnitures for sale. And all is made in Latvia, not China, Taiwan or Turkey! I recommend this shop as well!

A tremendous place to purchase assorted trinkets and other memorabilia. A large bald chap, the owner-artist aparrently, makes everyone feel at home with a hearty greeting and a meaty paw of welcome. Marvellous!

This is the best store in Riga! A wonderful assortment of quality books, scarves and trinkets. I even got to meet the artist - a boorishly friendly large, big-boned, bald gentleman.
