With roughly 70 beers on draught, loads of space, a dozen or so large TV screens showing sports and an impressive summer terrace right on the city’s most popular square, Beer House Nr.1 certainly has all of the bases covered for a night out with the lads. A full menu of international cuisine, a digital jukebox and top-shelf liquor are just icing on the cake. Order a potent Belgian brew, a Czech pilsner or perhaps a local IPA and settle in for afternoon or evening of beer and sports in the centre of Old Riga. Unfortunately, with that many taps, quality and freshness can be an issue and getting a glass with plenty of 'sediment' in a pasteurised brew is not unheard of.
