Guinness

This Polish-owned Irish pub isn't the most authentic place in the world, but it plays its role just fine as flypaper for foreigners and football fans thanks to being one of the only places in town where you're likely to find your match on the tube. True to its name they do serve the Black Nectar, but there have been times when we've wanted to give the staff a hand by pouring it ourselves; at a hefty 17zł we feel like we've paid for the right. Set over three levels serving up decent pub grub and live music some evenings, Guinness is a solid choice for a successful night out, as surely proven by the common sight of grown men crying and hugging/holding each other up outside the front entrance.

Well, the Guinness was expensive (16zl) but ok. The downside was the roving British stags that always seem to end up in these places - but it is a good place to watch sport. And the bar staff are pleasing on the eye...

Tried to get breakfast here at 4pm and they wouldn't serve it even though the sign outside said it was being served. I know we were a bit late, but we were true Irish, and on holiday. The staff we didn't find were very helpful and found them dismissive on our mention of breakfast.
