Botanical Garden

Part of the University of Warsaw, the gardens have the usual collection of greenhouses with exotic, weird and wonderful species from all over the world, but what brings in the crowds during the summer are the stunning rose gardens just behind the main entrance. A riot of colour when in full bloom, the gardens are the preferred subject matter of students from the nearby art college who set up their easels early and paint until the guards kick them out at sunset. Indeed, given such lush scenery, it is tempting to find a bench and do the same. The park is open from March until the end of October.
