Warsaw’s best sushi, so some say. The food floats by on small wooden boats while the small interior is brightened by bamboo bits and bobs, hand-crafted pottery and kimono suited staff. Frequently packed, so expect to eat shoulder to shoulder with other sushi aficionados. Also on Burakowska 5/7.

I find Sakana a bit hit & miss really . A lot of empty boats sailing by again today for lunch, none the less, what we had was excellent ( expenive , but excellent )

My boyfriend and I visited the newly opened Sakana on Burakowska street last night and had a wonderful experience there. We have lived in Warsaw for almost a year now, and we had resolved ourselves to the unfriendly experience of eating out here and usually chose to eat at home rather than pay too much for the waiter's grimace, but our experience at Sakana was incredibly pleasant. The chefs there were chatty and diligent. They made wonderful recommendations and provided prompt and congenial service. The sushi was excellent. They have some very creative takes on Maki sushi, and the nigiri was soft, with the rice cooked just right. In fact, never even in my year of living in Japan have I had a better sushi experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, though small.

Definately more show than quality. The whole place had grave atmosphere, service was slow and unsmily, the chef on our side tried to show off but couldnt even do thin slices, and then disappeared for 20 min until we got tired of watching empty boats sail by and asked for the bill.
