Perhaps the epitome of Poznań's contemporary culinary scene, this intimate anytime hangout opens early with a delicious breakfast menu founded on their fresh-baked breads and pastries (served until 15:00). In the early evening it becomes a stylish date destination, with a regularly changing selection of seasonal dishes including inventive vegan options, while after dark it shifts seamlessly into a laid-back bar serving craft beers, signature cocktails, mocktails and natural wines. The interesting v-shaped interior features tall windows and a bar along one side, and an open kitchen at the end of the other, with simple, stylish furnishings, a vibey jazz soundtrack and very friendly service making it easy to linger in the cosy atmopshere. One particularly notable characteristic is the dark, downstairs bathroom where a soothing Polish voice seems to be narrating a nature show. All told, Mitte does all the little things that matter right, without fussing too much about what doesn't, to create a hip, relaxed restaurant you want to keep introducing to new friends.
