Hidden away on a side street in the centre of Lublin, Nocny Portier is the sort of cocktail bar that seems designed for a glamorous night out before you've even opened the menu. Inspired by the opulence of The Great Gatsby, the interior layers Art Deco elegance with playful surrealist touches: mirrored walls, crystal chandeliers, gilded details, towering palm trees and even the occasional golden monkey. The result feels somewhere between a 1920s speakeasy, an underground jazz club and a very successful Instagram post. Fortunately, the drinks keep pace with the décor, with original creations, classic cocktails and regular live music carrying the evening well into the small hours.
