Formerly known as Krakowskie Zakąski, a recent rebrand has seen this Old Town hole-in-the-wall lean into the drinkmixing prowess of its young barstaff, with a creative menu of international cocktails, spritzers and negronis. In addition to Polish craft beer, they also offer wines and ciders on draught, and a huge range of bottled alcohols. Despite all the drink possibilities, the dive bar spirit and local vibe of this place remain intact - the main lure of which will always be the huge courtyard garden just minutes from the market square. Full of beach chairs and beer-crate tables, with plenty of space for groups, Zako also stays open super late, which is unique for a garden venue. In winter they downsize to a covered, heated patio, and offer a wide range of warm defrosting drinks to keep us dropping by in all seasons. A great find.
