Kraków is absolutely crazy for ramen, and this place is part of the reason why. After attending a cooking school in Japan, the owners came back to Kraków to change the local perspective on ramen - seen to that point as the kind of instant food only poor students (saving their money for alcohol) would eat. Now those same students are literally queuing up in the cold for a chance to get a table inside one of Ramen People's two locations (the second at Karmelicka 22).
How did they do it? By making every bowl a work of art. Ramen People makes their own fresh alkaline noodles every day, they import many of their ingredients straight from Japan, and they change their menu constantly to incorporate local seasonal ingredients. With everything in its right place - nitamago eggs, menma bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, mung bean kimchi, chashu pork and more (including yummy vegan versions) - the umami is addictive and Ramen People is now one of the trendiest places in town for work lunches, friend gatherings, family dinners (they have special bowls for kids), first dates - you name it.
