Unveiled in the courtyard of Collegium Maius for the 500th anniversary of the founding of Jagiellonian University, this monument of Poland's famous astronomer was designed by Cyprian Godebski in 1899 and moved to its current position in the Planty outside Collegium Novum in 1953.
