Crowded with barrels of mead, bear skins and even a winged Hussar, the timber interior is a masterpiece. But the history isn’t confined to the décor - the recipes were researched in the local Jagiellonian Library. Essentially a feast of meat with roast pig on a spit and 1 litre steins of beer being the specialties, this medieval theme restaurant is far enough off the tourist track to feel completely authentic.
