Pueblo is one of the few restaurants in the country (its sister restaurant in Gdynia being one of the others) where Tex-Mex cuisine doesn’t get the equivalent of the fire extinguisher treatment prevalent in so many ethnic diners. The burritos are the real deal (not a cabbage in sight), and while the house salsa is weak meals come accompanied by a selection of bottled sauces imported straight from Latin America - some of them could knock the spots off a cow. You can expect to see some additions to the menu in the coming months and a smart pricing policy means the cocktails are some of the best value you’ll find in town. Also at ul. Abrahama 56, Gdynia (entrance from ul. Władysława IV, N-2). A good time to visit is during the week between 12:00 and 16:00 when their lunch deals cost from just 25zł.

I first went to Pueblo in June shortly after it had. opened, and I was impressed. It's almost-almost-as good as the Mexican restaurants in Southern California. Since then I've gone back about once a week-it's that good. The chips and salsa you get when you sit down are good, but way too small. Oh well. And I'm surprised that they don't offer carnitas, especially in a country where pork is so popular. Maybe I'll suggest it to them when I go again on Sunday.
