When it comes to hotels Bydgoszcz still lags way behind Poland’s more high profile cities, and this becomes painfully apparent if you’re the sort of person accustomed to the five-star treatment. Of the big chains in Bydgoszcz, Holiday Inn are the only ones in town. Of the rest, Bohema is the one five-star, and there’s also now a smattering of some excellent four-star options. However, many other of the town's hotels effect the look of Soviet leftovers, and though you’ll find them scrubbed specklessly clean, don’t expect luxury.
